Daikan is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team focusing on construction and interior fit-out projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services needed for our restaurant developments. Your expertise will ensure that all procurement activities align with our quality standards and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction and interior fit-out projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Supplier Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials and services. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Cost Management: Analyze pricing, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable procurement agreements that optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of potential suppliers, including their reliability, quality of goods, production capacity, and delivery performance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites. Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize waste and delays.
  • Compliance: Ensure that procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Maintain a record of all contracts and procurement activities.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new products to enhance procurement practices and decision-making.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to management.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within the construction or interior fit-out sectors.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
