Role Overview:
The Vendor Alliance Manager/Director plays a pivotal role in managing strategic relationships with key technology vendors to drive business growth, enhance solution offerings, and maximize the value of partnerships. This role involves aligning vendor strategies with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with partner programs, optimizing joint go-to-market initiatives, and enabling internal teams to deliver world-class solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendor stakeholders, including account managers, alliance leads, and technical teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related matters and act as an advocate for the organization within vendor ecosystems.
- Partnership Alignment:
- Ensure alignment between vendor roadmaps and the company’s service offerings and strategic objectives.
- Negotiate and manage partner agreements, contracts, and renewal processes.
- Program and Compliance Management:
- Monitor and maintain compliance with vendor partner programs, certifications, and tier requirements.
- Ensure the organization maximizes benefits from vendor incentives, funding programs (e.g., MDF, POC, MAP), and partner discounts.
- Go-to-Market Strategy Execution:
- Collaborate with vendors on joint marketing campaigns, co-selling strategies, and demand-generation initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of vendor solutions by working with sales, presales, and technical teams to develop value propositions and sales enablement materials.
- Revenue and Growth Accountability:
- Manage vendor-related revenue streams, including rebates, incentives, and program earnings.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the vendor ecosystem to drive incremental revenue.
- Internal Enablement and Advocacy:
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, presales, and delivery) to educate and enable them on vendor solutions and programs.
- Provide regular updates on vendor programs, certifications, and new solution launches.
- Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Stay updated on vendor product updates, competitor activities, and industry trends to advise on strategic decisions.
- Regularly report on vendor performance, program achievements, and ROI of partnership initiatives to senior leadership.
