Accounts Payable Specialist

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Saudi Bonyan. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. Job Description

Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment

Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry

Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation

Generate purchase orders when necessary

Obtain and print signatures on all checks

Assist senior financial officers as needed

Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies

and procedures.

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

Record, store, and/or analyze information using property software.

Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.

Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures.

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Experience in an Accounts Payable job function Minimum 3 years.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer software programs such as QuickBooks Online, XERO and SAP
• Ability to work well with team members from other departments, such as Human Resources and Purchasing
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in effective communication, project management strategies and teamwork.
• Good time management skills and conflict resolution techniques
