A Snapshot of Your Day:
As the Platform Combustion Chamber (PCS) Operations Manager at Egypt Service Center, you will be managing the shop floor activities to ensure a smooth production of repair operations along and between the different repair departments. The position supports the customer service function by planning repair operations and acting as a primary liaison for correspondence and communications for PCS repair projects as well as other Gas Turbine parts. This position requires technical repair leadership and a minimum of 10 years experiences working and 5 years leading shopfloor production. Strong understanding of the Siemens Energy established service network, guidelines, processes, and quality assurance procedures.
What You Bring
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10 years work experience in a client service role or leadership role in a manufacturing or repair facility.
- Strong capability in project management. Ability to plan and lead manufacturing schedules.
- Proven successful experience in a people management position within a fast-paced workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead, influence, and inspire others; motivates, empowers, develops, and directs people as they work.
- Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how it supports related operations.
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement, problem solving, quick execution, and team leadership.

Desired Skills And Competencies
- Experience with, NDT, CMM measurements, Blasting and cleaning operations, Vacuum and atmospheric furnaces operation, welding repairs, machining, and thermal coating operation.
- Familiarity with Siemens Energy systems and processes
- Fluency in the English and Arabic.
- German language and international experience are a plus.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and plan the shop operations to ensure the on-time-delivery of customer parts.
- Actively communicate and align with the global engineering and qualification teams on Siemens Energy technical repair specifications.
- Actively support departmental and work area needs to ensure shop workforce has what they need to work safely, with quality, and efficiently within schedule.
- Liaison between repair departments regarding status, scope change, hold points, etc.
- Identify and execute workflow and efficiency improvement projects.
- Make daily work assignments, actively direct workflow by assigning work and tasks to the shopfloor team.
- Provide concise and descriptive work instructions to the shop floor.
- Develop a highly capable Operations team by motivating your team members, providing guidance, and promoting staff development.
- Aligns workshop planned activities to the financial targets.
- Ability to learn and navigate Service location specific processes and procedures.
- Interpret customer maintenance and/or repair specifications to technical personnel for repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Review contractual terms and conditions for service specifications.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation and progress reports for internal and external customers.
- Support and maintain lean implementation projects.
- Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Repair Center.
- Closely monitor ongoing job-costs, with focus on actual cost versus quote/estimate.
- Prepare and issue shop instructions for inspection and repair scopes referencing all appropriate repair and factory technical specifications.
- Collaborate with technical specialists and QA manager to ensure that all jobs are completed within job specific or general quality guidelines and assurances.
- Perform additional managerial functions as required by the position.
