Position Summary:

Are you passionate about quality assurance and eager to kick-start your career in the tech industry? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to join our team! As a Junior QA Engineer, you will assist in the testing of software to ensure it meets the highest quality standards, collaborating with developers and other team members to deliver exceptional products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test Execution and Support:
• Assist in executing test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
• Perform manual testing to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• Participate in both functional and regression testing cycles.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
• Log and track software defects using defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Test Documentation:
• Help maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, results, and reports.
• Ensure clear documentation for future reference and test analysis.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to meet quality objectives.
• Report test progress, issues, and results to the QA Lead and relevant stakeholders.
• Learning and Growth:
• Continuously learn and stay up to date with the latest QA best practices, tools, and techniques.
• Participate in team discussions about process improvements and software quality.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance (internships or related projects are welcomed).
• Familiarity with manual testing methodologies and basic understanding of QA processes.
• Basic knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Enthusiasm for learning and improving skills in the field of QA.
  
  

Skills:

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to document and report software defects clearly and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of automated testing tools is a plus (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
