Job Purpose

The Material Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the inventory system to ensure the accurate tracking and timely availability of materials for metro operations. This role involves overseeing inventory transactions, monitoring stock levels, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for improving inventory control processes, conducting regular checks, and identifying strategies to minimize waste, reduce material obsolescence, and enhance overall efficiency.

Responsibilities/Duties

Profil de candidat recherché :

  • Create new demanded items on the system, attach their full description, part number, commodities, and related subsystems, and ensure no recorded duplicates.
  • Monitor and control daily inventory transactions and conduct regular inventory checks (stock take) and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Revise suppliers’ invoices and ensure that 4-way matching has been done.
  • Work closely with finance and prepare customers' monthly invoices documents for submission.
  • Collaborate with CMMS and data engineering to record all customers’ spare parts final takeover on the system.
  • Monitor the warehouse team and guide them to conduct regular checks and improve material descriptions and specifications recorded on the system.
  • Develop a workorder back log with items reserved and not issued and not needed on the assigned WO and communicate with units to take proper action. (Cancel reservation/amend WO start date)
  • Revise and control issued material against maintenance work orders and assure work order data compliance before transactions take place.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure sufficient materials are available while preventing overstocking.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, material usage trends, and cost analysis to management.
  • Analyze inventory turnover, identify discrepancies, and recommend strategies to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to inventory control processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal standards related to inventory management.
  • Monitor the warehouse team in taking corrective actions based on cycle count results to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with the integration of new systems or technologies related to inventory management.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of supply chain KPIs.
  • Proficient in planning and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (preferably Maximo).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English.
  • Ability to identify errors and implement corrective actions.

Experience

  • From 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, and supply chain performance management.
