About the RoleWe're looking for a remote Technical Recruiter to drive talent acquisition across technology, marketing, operations, and finance roles.
In this role, you'll lead end-to-end recruiting campaigns: from strategic sourcing and advanced boolean searching to conducting thorough video assessments and maintaining our pre-vetted talent community. You'll leverage AI tools, analyze global compensation data, and develop creative approaches to find exceptional candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
You'll be part of a team focused on continuous improvement, sharing insights and best practices while maintaining meticulous data standards. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring both technical understanding and strong evaluation skills to identify and assess top talent.
Our IDEAL CANDIDATE brings Junior (1-2 years) or Intermediate (3-5 years) experience as a Technical Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist. You have strong technical fluency for evaluating candidates, advanced boolean search expertise, and experience conducting thorough video assessments. You're highly organized with exceptional documentation skills and you're comfortable with data-driven recruiting processes. You bring polished English communication, high EQ for handling sensitive conversations, and genuine care for candidate experience. You're tech-savvy and eager to leverage AI tools while understanding when the human touch matters most. Most importantly, you align with our mission and values and bring a strong commitment to fairness and opportunity creation in recruiting.
Your performance will be measured by speed and quality of role fulfillment, sourcing effectiveness, assessment accuracy, screening judgment, and overall candidate experience ratings.
You’ll work most closely with other Technical Recruiters, Operations Leads and Cofounders, but will also collaborate with our Growth team, Finance team, and other teammates from our parent company’s teams. This position reports directly to one of our Operations Leads.
You'll be doing things like:
- Strategic Talent Acquisition: mastering advanced boolean searches across LinkedIn and portfolio platforms; developing creative approaches for hard-to-fill positions; leveraging AI tools to identify exceptional candidates; analyzing global compensation data across multiple sources; creating targeted outreach campaigns; hunting for hidden talent on platforms like Behance and Dribbble; identifying needle-in-haystack candidates through innovative search strategies.
- Requirements Analysis: studying job descriptions to extract core requirements; synthesizing hiring feedback to refine search criteria; developing deep understanding of what makes candidates successful; adapting strategies based on market conditions; identifying alternative candidate backgrounds for challenging roles; understanding nuanced technical and cultural requirements.
- Candidate Assessment: conducting thorough video screening interviews; writing exceptionally detailed technical and behavioral notes; evaluating competencies across diverse domains; curating pre-vetted talent pools; analyzing candidate motivations and potential risks; handling sensitive conversations professionally; identifying red flags early in the process.
- Process Excellence: analyzing campaign metrics to drive efficiency; implementing cutting-edge AI recruiting tools; documenting and sharing best practices; suggesting automation opportunities; contributing to continuous improvement initiatives; developing scalable solutions for common challenges; staying current with remote recruiting trends.
- Data & Operations Management: maintaining meticulous recruitment data hygiene; normalizing and standardizing candidate information; tracking global compensation trends; managing end-to-end recruitment logistics; documenting campaign learnings; building efficient systems for candidate tracking; ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Team & Community Impact: collaborating on complex recruiting challenges; sharing insights on ethical and interpersonal situations; contributing to the development of recruiting practices; maintaining professional relationships with candidates; taking initiative in process improvements; demonstrating leadership in recruiting innovation; and participating in knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications- Junior (1-2 years) or Intermediate (3-5+ years) in roles such as Technical Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or Recruiting Operations Manager
- Proficient with global remote recruiting practices -- or the ability to adapt learn quickly
- Solid grasp of HR and recruiting best practices, coupled with a mature business sense that business owners can appreciate
- Excellent, polished, clear thinking + writing -- via email, Slack, emoji- and .gif-based communications 🤓; ability to adapt to different tones
- Stellar professional etiquette in written, phone, and video communications
- High emotional intelligence (EQ), empathetic
- Tech-savvy with a quick typing speed and an ability to quickly master new software
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to turnaround reliably accurate and high-quality work, both independently and collaboratively
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager for growth opportunities
Bonus if you also have:
- Prior experience in remote recruitment or staffing focused on North American clients
- Your own sizable LinkedIn network of talent; partnerships or connections to regional organizations to cross-post to; tools and tricks for recruiting within your region.
- An understanding of different worker classification types, global labour standard laws, tax implications, etc.
- Expertise with modern ATS and TRM platforms
- Familiarity with our tools: Google Workspace, Miro, Slack, ClickUp, ChatGPT, Airtable, Calendly, Zapier, and NoCode platforms.
Position Details:Full-time vs Part-time: Full-time (40 hours/week), Exclusivity Preferred
Working Hours: Fixed, 6:30AM-2:30PM Eastern Time Zone; changes with Daylight Savings Time
