Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC), a M42 partner, is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility that specialises in diabetes treatment, research, training and public health awareness.
In just over a decade, the Centre has gained international renown for its holistic approach to the treatment of diabetes and related complications that enables patients to receive the full spectrum of care they need in one place.
ICLDC was established in 2006 in Abu Dhabi by Mubadala in partnership with the UK’s Imperial College London to address the growing demand for diabetes care in the UAE. The centre now operates three branches across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, touching the lives of more than one million people through patient-centric programmes and public health initiatives.
About The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Inventory Controller (medical consumable) to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring the accurate tracking of materials and supplies, and supporting the operational needs of various departments. This position is ideal for someone with a knack for organization and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review inventory levels, ensuring the right supplies are available when needed.
- Coordinate logistics for purchase orders, deliveries, stock transfers, and tagging.
- Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Manage inventory counts, prevent overstocking/out-of-stock situations, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- A diploma or equivalent qualification.
- 3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare facility. Managing the process of shipping, receiving, or stockroom operations.
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to handle and move heavy objects as part of daily tasks.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and familiarity with standard warehousing procedures.
Additional:
- Physical demands may include keyboard use, operating office and audiovisual equipment, lifting up to 30 lbs, standing for up to 8 hours, and mobility to visit departments. Normal or corrected vision and hearing are required.
