About The Job Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement best practices, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Identify and source reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and prices to ensure the company is getting the best value for goods and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement support
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost savings targets are met
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the procurement process
  • Mentor and train junior procurement staff to develop their skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the energy industry
  • Proven track record of cost savings and efficiency improvements in procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
  • Experience in managing a team is preferred
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS) is a plus.
