You'll lead the design process for innovative sports venues, focusing on premium polo and equestrian centers. Working with our Sports Business Unit, you'll collaborate with global architects and engineers to create exceptional facilities that set new standards in sports venue design.
What you'll do
Lead design management for premium sports venues, specializing in equestrian facilities and polo centers, from concept through construction delivery
Oversee and liaise on all aspects of the project design including but not limited to architecture, interior design, landscape, signage, F, F&E / OS&E, coordination with MEP services and other specialist inputs including lighting design, acoustic, structural, security, IT, AV etc.
Drive technical excellence by managing design consultants, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and overseeing drawing management and design sign-off processes
Navigate municipality approvals, permitting requirements, and ensure smooth transitions between design, construction, and operations phases
Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and design changes while maintaining project quality standards
Demonstrate proficiency in BIM 360, ACAD, and technical design documentation, with strong project coordination skills
Excel in stakeholder management and team leadership, with excellent English communication skills (Arabic is a plus!)
Champion sustainability initiatives while ensuring projects meet time, cost, and quality objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Must have a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in design management, specifically in Equestrian related assets as well as other sports, mixed-use, or commercial development projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and successful project outcomes
- Adept at reading drawings and specifications
- Strong English skills (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver design presentations to large groups and VIP audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of design software and tools (including but not limited to BIM 360, ACAD, Powerpoint, Excel and other associated architectural software)
- Ability to work with diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and rise up to challenging goals.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to set clear goals, motivate teams and produce results.
