The role of the Procurement Officer involves managing the entire procurement cycle. This includes identifying requirements, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and developing vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess procurement needs across various departments, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to establish effective procurement channels.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Track and monitor inventory levels, maintaining optimal stock levels to support operations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that procurement processes align with project timelines and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance data.
  • Implement and adhere to procurement policies and procedures to promote fair, transparent, and competitive practices.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues or discrepancies with suppliers in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of market trends and best practices in procurement.
