Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all quality-related activities, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO. This role involves managing internal audits and reviews, coordinating awards and certification processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through ideas management, labs, and staff suggestions.
The role also supports the promotion of quality culture throughout the organization by facilitating best practices and engaging staff in quality improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
Awards & Certifications:
- Coordinate and manage the organization's pursuit of quality awards and certifications (ISO, TUV, etc.).
- Ensure all required documentation, applications, and assessments are completed in line with the criteria of the awards/certifications.
- Liaise with external certification bodies and audit teams to schedule, prepare for, and participate in external audits.
- Monitor compliance with certification requirements and implement corrective actions as needed.
ISO Internal Audits & Reviews
- Plan, execute, and manage the ISO internal audit program, ensuring all processes adhere to ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 10000 series).
- Develop audit schedules, checklists, and reports, ensuring thorough assessments of operational processes.
- Identify non-conformities, areas for improvement, and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure timely closure of audit findings and continuous compliance with ISO standards.
- Lead management reviews of the quality management system (QMS) to ensure its ongoing effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.
Continuous Improvement (Ideas Management / Labs) Staff Suggestions
- Implement and manage a system for collecting, evaluating, and implementing staff suggestions to foster continuous improvement.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and improvement labs to drive innovation and problem-solving within the organization.
- Track and analyze the impact of staff suggestions and ideas on operational efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and pilot suggestions, providing feedback to staff members and recognizing contributions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting participation and maintaining visibility of implemented improvements.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Quality Management / Business Administration OR master’s degree in any Business field.
Preferred Additional Certifications
- ISO 9001 Auditor/Lead Auditor Certificate
- EFQM Assessor Certificate
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Experience
- 10 years’ Experience in similar job (Quality management and/or Excellence), or banking, payment industry.
Knowledge/Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, etc.) and familiarity with internal control tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
- Internal Quality Auditing certification or skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong conceptual, planning, and directing skills.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-working skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills (reading and writing) and a strong cultural understanding and sensitivity to the Middle East region.
- Outstanding communication skills – both verbal and written.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
