A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Resident Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between our customers and all project stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination on-site. You will oversee both planned and unplanned service events of gas turbines, generators, or steam turbines, as well as support the overall success of our project management initiatives.
How you’ll make an impact?
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact between the customer and all project stakeholders, including field service teams and subcontractors.
- Act as the on-site representative of Project Management, coordinating planned service events (e.g., minor, major, hot gas path inspections) and responding to any unplanned events.
- Coordinate the logistics for Siemens Energy Field Service Personnel, including arrivals, departures, and lodging on-site.
- Manage spare parts handling on-site, ensuring efficient logistical arrangements.
- Supervise subcontractors on-site to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy standards and requirements.
- Support the inspection of tools, equipment, and spare parts deliveries.
- Handle project-related consumables, including communication with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, tracking consumption, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure gas turbine, generator, or steam turbine outage activities align with the Project Schedule.
- Assist with project controls tasks, including cost tracking.
- Provide feedback to support the continual improvement of project management processes.
- Ensure all tasks comply with Siemens Energy's Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and Quality standards.
- Supervise and support the project team in coordinating all project-related activities effectively.
What you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Previous experience in the power generation field is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to promote a collaborative team environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
