Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT L1 Support & IT Asset Management Specialist to join our IT team. This role involves providing first-level technical support to end-users, managing IT assets, handling purchasing processes, maintaining records, and ensuring timely renewals of IT services and contracts. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in asset lifecycle management, and an understanding of procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
IT L1 Support Services:
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to user queries via ticketing systems, email, or phone, ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues related to workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist in user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Support basic troubleshooting of Active Directory, MS Office 365, and other enterprise applications.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Maintain IT documentation, FAQs, and user guides for common issues.
IT Asset Management & Purchasing:
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, servers, and peripherals.
- Track asset allocation, movement, and lifecycle management.
- Assist in the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services by liaising with vendors.
- Review and compare quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Ensure proper tagging and labeling of IT equipment.
- Maintain records of warranties, service contracts, and support agreements.
Records Maintenance & Renewals:
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses, renewals, and compliance.
- Track domain renewals, SSL certificates, and cloud subscriptions to prevent service disruptions.
- Ensure timely renewal of IT service agreements and maintenance contracts.
- Work closely with finance and procurement teams for budget planning and cost approvals.
- Generate reports on IT assets, software compliance, and service contract statuses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support and asset management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows, Mac, and basic networking.
- Experience in handling IT asset lifecycle and procurement.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and asset management tools.
- Good understanding of IT service contracts, licensing, and renewals.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
